Let me cook up a unit test for this... the interaction between writableVector and advancing the position in the Writer is not trivial to consider. I think I want to put readVec back in the vtable to make this less weird. |

The stream functions keeps reading into the same buffer, overriding its own data. Don't forget to
flushadvance.
